Your Trenchless Technology Rehabilitation Specialists with SOLUTIONS!

Midwest Trenchless Services, Inc. is based in Grant, Michigan.
Our Management Staff has a combined experience in Trenchless Technology solutions of over 150 yrs.

As a team we have been involved with the design and construction of over 300,000 feet of Pipe Bursting from 4" to 42" in size, including Fusible PVC Pre-chlorinated water main pipe bursting. Our Directional Drilling experience also includes the design and construction of over 3,000,000 feet of 1" to 24".  We have also been actively engaged with a relatively new process for water main CIPP Lining.  We have also just completed construction of the WORLDS LARGEST STATIC PIPE BURST MACHINE with over 330 Tons of pullback force!  Click Here to see the pictures of the machine in action.

Trenchless Technology is a rapidly growing sector of the construction & civil engineering industries. It can be defined as: the set of techniques to develop maintain, and/or terminate the subsurface utility networks which are linked by the lack of need for excavating continuous trenches.

This method or technology consists of two primary industry sectors:
  • Trenchless Construction refers to such construction methods as:
    tunneling, micro-tunneling, horizontal directional drilling
also known as directional boring, pipe ramming, pipe jacking, auger boring and other methods for the installation of pipelines and cables below the ground with minimal excavation. Large diameter tunnels such as those constructed by a tunnel boring machine (TBM), and drill-and-blast techniques are larger versions of Trenchless construction.

  • Trenchless Rehabilitation refers to such construction methods as:
Slip-lining, shotcrete, gunite, cured-in-place pipe, thermoformed pipe, grout-in-place pipe, pipe bursting and other methods for the repair, rehabilitation, or replacement of existing buried pipes and structures with excavation or at least with minimal excavation. Trenchless Rehabilitation methods are generally more cost-effective than traditional exhume and replace methods and are common tools in modern water and sewer asset management programs around the world.
